In order to alleviate some stress before your belt test, please read the following pointers, and feel free to leave comments to add to the list or ask questions...
Belt Promotion Exam
Date-MARCH 27th
Times are as follows:
JR. Assessment level (white belts) - 4:20pm
JR. yellow, orange - 4:20pm
JR. green, purple, blue - 5:30pm
JR. red, brown, sr. brown - 6:30pm
ADULT all belts (white-sr. brown) - 7:20pm
- Please do not be late !!! Try to show up at least 10 minutes early (parents, if you want to get a good seat plan on showing up 15-20 mins early!)
- Read your student handbooks to know all of your specific belt requirements; the physical stuff and the questions!
- Wash and iron your uniforms before test day! It always helps to look nice...
- Practice hard! You need all four stripes (the colored ones) in order to test. Also, practice at home before your test.
- Turn your test applications and fees in on time!!! If you don't submit an application on time, we can't order your new belt!
- Don't eat a huge dinner before coming to your test. You want to feel your best so eat a light meal that will give you some energy!
- Expect to be a little nervous, but don't let it get the best of you!

Hello, I'm the parent of one of the junior brown belts (senior I think it's called) and how proud I am of all the energy these kids brought to the school plus their disposition to test. Also, congratulations to all the students who passed their color belt test. It was a great test with lots of respect, energy (I loved the loud kihaps), confidence, good forms, kicking combinations and all the rest. Kudos to you guys! Now, the black belts who tested last night should feel ashamed of how different their test was. It used to be exciting to watch the black belts test for their level promotions, but now it has become so dull and boring. Last night's test was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!! No respect to the master, no kihaps (you guys had to be asked for them...), tons of mistakes in the forms and kicking... I bet the new Master must have felt ashamed to be with Master Yung's school after that poor display last night. If you're honest with yourselves, don't accept your new level and retest!
